Hi Linda, I was so excited to get your response. My Going clan started out in Virginia but after the Revolution War soldiers could get land grants in Georgia and they migrated to Georgia. They left Georgia and went to Kentucky. They showed up in Kentucky: Aaron Goins, Reuben Goins, Garland Goins, Patsy Goins, Nancy, John, William and Elizabeth Goins. John is my ggggrandfather. When he died in Kentucky he deeded his land to his sons, John Levi, Hiram, Absalom, and Abner Aaron along with his sisters Mary Going, Lucy Going and Massy Going. I believe all these Georgia men and women are connected family from Virginia. It has been suggested that John is the son of Moses and Agnes Going. I don't know the connection, all I know is starting with John L Going and his sons Abner Aaron, Hiram, Absalom and John Levi Going I can make my family connection. Do any of these people sound familiar to you?
