Goheen-Zufelt in Canada

I've been working on my tree for quite awhile, mostly motivated by a problem with my gggrandfather, Nelson Goheen and his mother Ophelia Hoogaboom. Nelson was thought to have been adopted into the Goheen family and his real heritage was with the Zufelt's. After checking all the official records I could locate, I was pretty confident that Ophelia was born in 1810 or 11 and Nelson was born in 1828. This would mean that Ophelia Hoogaboom was probably never a Zufelt and that Nelson was a bonafide Goheen. To prove this theory, I had my DNA tested and it came back confirming that I was indeed a Goheen. I'm not sure where this Zufelt connection got started, there must be a story there of some kind. Nelson's wife Ann was born in 1831.
