OCTOBER 30, 1903

Mrs. Owen Goggins died at the family home in Charlotte, Thursday morning, October 29th, of paralysis.
Anna Sheridan came to the United States from Ireland, with her parents when a mere babe. She was born in the county of Moith, Ireland, May 26, 1847. Her mother died when she was twelve years old and her home, thereafter, was with Mr. and Mrs. John Strannigan, now old residents of Charlotte. She came to this county in 1865 and was married to her first husband, Patrick Finnegan the following year. The issue of the first marriage was one son and one daughter. Her first husband having died, she was married to Owen Goggins in 1878; from which union there were three children born, one daughter and two sons; all of the children and the husband survive her. Mrs. Goggins wan an old resident of this county and Charlotte township, having come here a young woman. She lived to see the low flat land of Charlotte township which bred chills and fever in the early days, made over into one of the most valuable farm sections in this country.
He death was sudden and unexpected and her many friends with the immediate family mourn her loss. The funeral will be held Saturday morning, Oct. 31, at 10:00 o'clock from SS. Peter and Paul's church, Rev. J.J. Quinn officiating.
