Hi Cousin, No I'm not the mountain-climbing John goggins - you must tell me more about him. I live in co. Wexford, Ireland and was born in Dublin city. My father comes from Co. Meath and all of his traceable roots are there. I don't know when we added the 's' to the name. Most of those who spell it 'Goggin' come from the general area of Co. Cork in the south of the country, and I can't connect to these at present. I have just received a reply from James Bell, so will contact him. I have a sister in Vermont and many cousins in NYC, who are descended from my father's uncles who went there c.1894.
