Terry, I do not believe William Thomas Goff is from Duplin County, North Carolina. John Goff of Duplin had sons, William and Thomas, but not a Wm Thomas. Far as known the lineage of Thomas has not been completely worked. However, Thomas son of John married Tomsin Mathis. Thomas was born 1754 Duplin County. I do not believe this line of Goff's are from Duplin County. You may or may not know that I published a book on this Goff family some twenty plus years ago.
