I spoke to someone who said they could find not relationship between John and Dempsey Goff who were both born in Duplin Co. I would like to find some sort of connection between these two. I know that people named their children after uncles and aunts and so forth and I found the name William as a son of Dempsey.
Sorry if this sounds rambling, but I really don't have a definite answer.
