Dempsey Goff's Parents???

I am a decendent of Dempsey Goff of Duplin County, NC. I have a lot of information about his offspring and theirs, etc. What I don't have is who his parents were and if he had any siblings. My line is as follows:

Dempsey Goff About 1758 - ???
Samuel Goff Sr. About 1790 - ???
Samuel Goff Jr. Around 1814-1818 until about 1901
Elisha Goff 1844 - 1885
John Madison Goff 1872 - 1940
Morris Levy Goff Sr. 1914 - 1966
Morris Levy Goff Jr. 1943 -
and me,
Walter Payne Goff 1973 -

I know that Dempsey married Catherine Herring (About 1757 - ???) and I read where a John Goff (born 1752 also in Duplin County) married Elizabeth Herring. Does anyone know of a connection between Dempsey and John?

I can share a world of information on a LOT of Dempsey's descendents and I am eager to see if anyone has anything on his ancestry.
