My great grandfather and grandmother were Peter and Catherine (Young) Sauvage. I am new at geneology but may have information my Mother put together that would be helpful. Peter died in a train accident when my great aunts were about 6. Catherine had 5 children and was a mid wife and janitor for the school. There was "the german room" in their house for the school also. I knew two of his daughters (twins) (my great aunts) quite well and my grandmother was his youngest daughter. I have two painted plates with the lastt name goeglein on the back and one little piece of paper that has something written about our lineage going back to 1600's as goeglein. I never thought I had a chance to find anything so this is quite exciting. I have a couple of german books with the name Magdelena in them. As I go through things I will probably find more. I have pictures of Sauvages from Colorado in 1860's? and Brisbee? Arizona same time frame.
