Helping a friend and trying to determine the parents of Hazel Melms, b. Nov 1894 in IL, and John E. Melms, b. Jul 1899 in IL. They are cited on 1900 and 1910 federal census returns as grandchildren of Frederick and Susanna Goebel of Chicago (and may be the children of their daughter, Catherine Goebel and possibly John Melms [son of Charlies Melms of Hampshire, Kane Co., IL]). I also have not been able -- so far -- to locate either child on 1920 or 1930 returns.

Any information you can provide or correct would really be appreciated. Thanks.
