Hello Heather...thank you for your posting...I am trying to discover my paternal Goebel line with little luck...what I do know is this: my great grandfather (Frank Taber) married Mary nee Goebel (abt 1859 OH)....her parents appear to have been Daniel (abt 1825 GER)& Sophia (abt 1833 Prussia?)Goebel (German immigrants); Mary's sibling were: Abram (abt 1852 OH), Sophia (abt 1855 OH), Frederick (abt 1856 OH), Catherine (abt 1859 OH). I located them in 1860 in Cuyahoga Co, OH; in 1870 in Franklin Co, OH and in 1880 Mary was in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co, OH...from Cincy..they appear to have migrated to KY (Newpost, Campbell Co.) I know so very little about the Goebel surname but your post caught my eye because of the migration you made mention of. Frank Taber and Mary nee Goebel had children: Harry Edward Taber (b: 1900 KY) and Clara (b: abt 1884 KY) and maybe Frank Jr. (b: 1890 KY or IN?). It appears that both Frank Jr. and Clara may have died young as they are not listed on later censuses and their mother is listed as having had 3 CH with only 1 living come 1910 (Newport, Campbell Co, KY). Thank you kindly for your Goebel interest and posting...I look forward to speaking with you further. Blessings~~~~Laurie
