I have been told that most of the Godwin family in the S.E. originated from the same area of NC and Virginia. Believe there are even some connected in this line down in South Alabama and South Georgia.It would be a wonderful thing to track and connect these back to the original ancestor....from NC or VIRGINIA? Maybe we could all work together and share some notes before more is lost? My line is in SC.
