I am related to one of the children of George Washington Godwin, b. 23 APR 1869, d. 22 JAN 1955. George's first wife was Mary A. Johnson, b. ~1868. It is believed that she died between 1894-98. Her two children are thought to be William (Billy) Godwin, b. ~1893 and Louis or Lewis C. Godwin, my grandfather. Louis was b. ~1894, d. 15 JAN 1927. George remarried a second time to a Mary E. (Stabler?) and a third time to Velma Young Blair. Other children born to George include Sydney or Sidney Hudson Godwin, b. ~1899; Archie Godwin, b. ~1900; Frederick Godwin, b. ~1904; Bertha Godwin, b. ~1906, and Bessie Godwin, b. ~1909. Another brother, Riley Godwin is mentioned in Louis' obituary. I have no information on any of these children of George Washington, besides Louis. I am also quite unsure that my information about the wives of George Washington Godwin is accurate. Any help would be appreciated.
