My family derived from the Godfroy/Godfrey Miami Indiana tribe when My g-g grandmother, Alma Godfrey married my g-g grandfather Gilford Henry McElhaney in 1902. I have extensive research, if you are interested. However, this is a never-ending project...GENEALOGY! Luckily, my g-g uncle is still living and has helped me greatly. Tell me what you have and maybe we can help each other. You might write to Carol Mongosa, Miami Nation of Indians of the State of Indiana, Inc., P.O.Box 41, Peru, IN 46970. She is "THE KEEPER OF THE NAMES." (She has the rosters!)
