You are very welcome. It is nice to be able to help someone else from time to time instead of always making inquiries. You say Daniel's mother was Barbara D. Voyles which would make him a son of Emanuel Johnson of Howard Twp. Early [1831] Guardianship records name an Emanuel Johnson, who's father John had died before 10 March. I believe your Johnson line, like your Voyles line goes back to Washington County before statehood. However, there is more than one Johnson line found in the early records. How/if they connect has been something I have worked on for several years. Many of the given names seem to cross lines which indicates they may have been related. If you want to e-mail me directly, I will be glad to forward my Johnson data [pre 1850] that I have gathered from Washington Co., IN census, marriage, cemetery/death, guardianship, will and other records. I would also appreciate any additional information on Daniel's family you may already have that might help me sort through the early Johnson families of Washington County IN.
