Yes I Did, There a lot of Missouri Godbeys that gathers over the yrs in Mo. Did you ever read the Book about Abe Lincoln about Building the New Salem? He Stayed with Russel Godbey in Ky in Fact Abe Licoln worked for him.

I traced them back to Thomas Godbey. over 400 yrs ago. Godbeys went back as for as Vikings. Have you ever heard CROMWELL from England he was a bad guy i guess he had something to do with falling of the CHurches there , Any way tere was a GOADBY who was with him and got throuwed out of England Goadby name was changed 3 times before we got it Godbey. Hay go to Liestshire England or type in GOADBY of MARWOOD you will find a town named from are clan.
and just type in GODBY CHILDREN SCHOOL OF ENGLAND and Browes down that was a childrens school a Godbey lady left to the state .yrs ago . yes we are well known. Before i started Genealogy i thought Godbey name hardly excited any were boy was i fooled Ky is fool of Godbey's Virginia to. From Ohio, Indiana i think almost every state.
