There is now a DNA project for all males of the surname Godby / Godley etc. There is much evidence that the names were interchanged in some cases. Here is the opportunity to see if the two names have any common ancestors in the last 400-500 years. Please email me if you are interested, or go to www.familytreedna.com, then Surname Projects, then Godley/Godby. The cost through a surname project is much less that an individual test.
