Looking for ancestors and descendants of and information about WILLIAM M. GODBY b. 1844, AL and d. 1906 TX. He was married to Margaret C. ( - ) His son, THOMAS H. GODBY was also born in AL in 1866. Thomas was married first to Lelia Castleberry, then to Alice Griffin. Believe William M. Godby moved his family to Texas sometime early 1870's. They were first in Travis Co, TX then in Brown Co, TX where most of them lived and died. Buried in Greenleaf Cemetery in Brown Co, TX. I have seven other children of William and Margaret Godby, but have not positively identified them. Would be happy to share information.
