I was once married to William Thomas Godbehere from Central California and we had 3 sons, Cody 15, Kevin 13 and Nicholas 12.
His Father was Ervil Thomas Godbehere, son of John Wesley Godbehere who I think was son of Thomas J. Godbehere of Rhea Co Tn.
Awhile back (early 1980s) my late ex FIL Ervil (Tom) did some extensive research on the Godbehere family. He was able to trace it back to I believe the 15th Century Nottinghamshire England, and the origination of the name being Godbeer or something like that.
It's a very fascinating last name to say the least.
I am interested in knowing some of the descendants of Thomas J. Godbehere from Tn. I am still in contact with my ex-husband and I am sure I could direct anyone interested in the history his father compiled to him. He is very proud of his last name and family history.
