I have only just found this site. I am Anthony David Godbehere (known as David) and my father is Alfred godbehere from Millhouses, Shefield, born in 1920. My mother was Eileen. I was born in 1944 and lived most of my early life in Shefield, attending Abbey Lane School then Nether Edge GS (later becoming Abbeydale Boys GS). My father was in the Royal Marines in WW11. His mother was Mary,who lived in Abbeydale Road, but not much is known of his father, who left home when my father was young. Do any of these clues enable you to place where we may fit in to the extensive links to Shefield.
