Hi,
The actual 1850 census says this:

October 15, 1850 Federal Census record for Metamora Township, Franklin Co. INDIANA, denotes "Family 11-Residence 11". Thomas Goble, age 48, male, Clergyman, CC

I checked the actual again and the CC is there after Clergyman. I suppose it could mean Christian Church, but that's just a guess.
