Jefferson Davis Gober 3 Aug 1863 and Sarah Roxanne Patterson 1863 were my great grandparents. They died before I was born 1929 & 1940) They are buried in New Hope Cemetery neat Mt. Pleasant Texas. I haven't been to the cemetery since early 1970's. There is also an East New Hope cemetery which may be more correct site. Sarah Roxanne had 5 children by former marriage Madden. Jefferson Davis Gober has 5 by a marriage to Nancy Morgan. They married April 3, 1903. My dad said they all left home when he came along - they were young adults.
My Dad was Emmett Boyd Gober (only child) and my Mother was Ruth Thomas Gober.
I had an Aunt Mary Madden of Mt Pleasant Texas, widow of Delton Madden 1/2 brother to my father. Aunt Mary was a very special lady. I did meet Phiffers growing up.
