Hi Ken!

My great grandfather was Homer Goad (b1861) we have no record of his date of death. He was a bit of a rounder. :) He was married twice, I think before he married my great grandmother (who I remember) & she was a good deal younger than he. Her name was Bertie Lee Prestwood(b. 1888 Bowie,TX d. 1980) he was from Warrick co. As the story goes, he worked for the railroad & that's how he met my "Ma-Ma" in Texas. He wasn't really in the picture much during my grandfather's upbringing (his name was John S.Goad, born 1923 in Salida,Co, he died April 2004.) Homer's father's name was (as far as I can tell, but I have no proof) James W.Goad (b.9-21-1835 d. 6-28-1912 & was buried in Wesley Cemetery in Warrick County,IN) As I said,it is a mystery to me. No one seems to know what happened to Homer..my father never met him (if he even lived that long..my father was born 1946). As for the rest of the Goad's, I have what I've found online but no proof. THanks for all your help, Ken. Are you related to the Goad's as well? As you probably know, that is my maiden name.
Thanks,
Cindy
