I have been researching this surname as well as other immigrants who left what was once Korstyshev, Russia and now is the Ukraine. I researching I see that alot of these immigrants migrated through Canada much more then they did through Ellis Island New York. Alot of these Canadian lines were the Canadian Pacific Railway which after they left the ships they boarded these trains and then headed for these destination in America. Be aware that alot of these immigrants had to then fill out a record which is called the St. Albans, Vermont records which listed all the personal information about them as well as where there destination was in the United States.
I want to find more information or records in the Ukraine and on the surname Ihave listed above. If you know more or have information to add please e-mail me.
