Bruce, I have been researching Glovers on my paternal grandmother's side for about 4 years now, I have traced back to Thomas' in early 1600 Lancashire Co, Eng. Some documented some not. I believe we are related thru William and Mary Norwood's children, Joseph and George. Joseph would be my 6th Great Grand Uncle a brother to George my 6th Great Grandfather who married Susannah Mitchell. Did Joseph marry Phoebe Mitchell and were Susannah and Phoebe sisters? I didn't have Joab as one of Joseph and Phoebe's children but I don't have a complete list of all their children. Please verify Joseph's death date if you can. I have it as 1786 Granville Co, NC. If this is true he would NOT be the Joseph who bought land from the Bynums in Pendleton, Union Co, Nc in 1807 that I wrote about in my previous post. My Glovers migrated from Colonial Va to NC to SC to Tn to Al to Tx. They intermarried the Bynums in Oneada, Blount Co, Al in the mid 1840's. Probably lived in Alabama during the Civil War. My direct ancestors, Isaac, Greenberry, and Elzel Lorenzo are buried in Cooke and Scurry Co, Tx and my grandmother Edna, buried in Ponca CIty, Oklahoma. Have you traced us to Revolutionary or Civil Wars?
