Moses Wheat, born in Groton, Mass., in 1686 is believed to be the father of Ruth Wheat, who married Samuel Glover. Moses married Deborah Mansfield on 10 June 1710 in Lynn, Massachusetts. Moses was brought up by the Mansfields. He was the youngest child of Joshua Wheat and Elizabeth Mansfield, who were married 10 Jun 1675 in Lynn, Mass. See pages 55 and 56 of Silas C. Wheat's book "A History of the Wheat Family in America, Vol. I."
