Yesterday I added alternative names for the men listed as Geves and Gevey in the 1830 census of Sullivan Co. TN via Ancestry.com. The five names were John Geves.......actually looks to be John Glover John R. Gevey....actually looks to be John R. Glover Alfred Gevey.....actually looks to be Alfred Glover Richard Gevey....actually looks to be Richard Glover James Gevey......actually looks to be James Glover. The handwriting of the enumerator added a hook at the end of all of his "r"'s, which made them look like a "y". I don't understand why the "l" was missed since it's as plain as day. Unfortunately, due to a distraction, I entered John's name twice....so until I get it cleared with ancestry, James Gevey's alternate name will show as John Glover. I am trying to find out if the Thomas Glover b 1800 TN of Polk Co Missouri(1842-1849) and and Izard Co Arkansas (1850) and then of Dallas Co MO 1860 is one and the same as the Thomas Glover of 1840 Sullivan Co. TN. Notify Administrator about this message?
