Hi Wallis,
Thank you for your response its always nice to hear from Baker cousins! Glover Baker is my 3 great grandfather and my descendency is below. Most descendants of Martha Baker are surprised to hear there were other siblings to Martha Baker, the daughter of Glover Baker and Mary Ferrell. I am writing a Baker History with the help of three other Baker researchers, including Stephen Bolks who you responded to last week it looks like. Here is my line:

Janet Olson Swart
Violet Baker 1915 St. Louis,MN/Werner Olson
Ransom Esdras Baker 1875 Linn, IA-1933 Lake, MN/Maggie Connors
Joseph W. Baker 1834 Montgomery, OH-1909 Linn, IA/Mary J.Davey
Caleb C. Baker 1791 VA-Linn, IA/Lucy Cooper
Glover Baker 1755 VA-1827 Bedford,VA/Mary Ferrell
Samuel Baker 1718 PA-1782/Elizabeth Glover
Caleb Baker 1690 VA-1754 VA/Martha Brooks
Robert Baker. Sr 1660-1728 PA

I have lots of history on some of these Bakers, and on Glover Baker, our common ancester. However, I don't have much either on Samuel Baker's first wife Elizabeth Glover except her dates. I have his second wife Christian Baker's will as well as lots of legal documents on Robert Baker, the gunsmith, who died in 1728 in Chester County, Pa and his son Caleb Baker etc.

I do have a letter from 1856 written by David Benjamin Lewis, a brother of your Dr. John Terrill Lewis where he lists a lot of births and deaths of relatives inside the letter.
I see your Sarah Bosworth married to Dr. John Terrill Lewis was his second wife. The letter I have mentions his first marriage to Letitia Downing on 24 Apr 1826 who died in 1844 in Lexington, Fayette, Ky. She was born in 1806 and died in 1844. Dr. John Terrill seems to have then married Sarah in 1846 in Lexington, Fayette, Ky. She died in December of 1891. The old letter received from another Martha descendant, was written by David Benjamin Lewis on 15 Feb 1856. Perhaps he did'n't know the name of John's new bride Sarah, they would have been married 10 years when he wrote the letter. I can send you a copy of the letter if you would like.
I see your e-mail is hidden on the Baker website. If you want further information, please contact me at janswart2000@yahoo.com.
