ELLSBERRY Glover family w/James William Glover

Is anyone familiar with this family; especially James William Glover. I am looking for further information in Ralls Co., MO., and/or Marion Co., MO. JW Glover appears in the 1860 census with Ellsberry Greenup Glover. Ellsberry went into the Civil War from the MO. State Guard and was later captured and released. JW "claims" to have been captured and gave a very long explanation of his war history but I am unable to prove. JW Glover's mother was supposed to have died in Missouri maybe around Hannibal.... before 1860. Her maiden name is Shote/Choat from a marriage certificate belonging to JW Glover and Harriet Jane Shroyer Partridge (Jeffco Il.) JW's mother evades me as does his father, William. Mother is H.J. Shote/Choat. JW's 3rd and final wife was Ina B. Jno. b. 1872, Missouri. Some accounts give JW's birth place as Hannibal; other accounts say Milledgeville, Lincoln Co., Ky. He often used William as his name or Uncle Bill. b. 1840 - 1850 but likely 1845 as he is 15years on the 1860 census. JW said he and mother came to Hannibal after the death of his father; JW being 6 or 8 years old at the time. Father allegedly b. VA. Mother allegedly b. Tennessee. Looking for death record of mother or any other information anyone may have pertaining to this family. thanks bunches.....
