Does anyone have any information on the Glossups who are in the AL and AR census after 1840? We think they might have gone to AL from TN and we don't think many stayed in MO, but that is our line. Aura (Orrie/Aria) Howard m. Levi Glossip in AL in the 1850s - some other Glossips and they moved to NW AR and he was killed in the Civil War. By the time of the Civil War they had 8 or 9 kids, the youngest was Cynthia Glossip who m. Luke Lee Sims around Hurley MO, where Aura Glossip had gone from AR. She m. 2nd a Thogmartin, and 3rd a Cox. We are at a dead end in research and would appreciate any leads to work on.
