You pose some interesting questions for me. Elizabeth (Betty) Glisson who married John Norman also did go to Henry Co. TN but a desc of hers says she was a dau of Daniel Glisson & his 2nd wife Elizabeth Kornegay. Also Brinkley Glisson went to Henry Co. TN. But I have him as a son of James Glisson of Martin Co. NC, Weakley Co. TN and Henry Co. TN. Although Brinkley was not mentioned in James's will. A Dennis Glisson was mentioned in James's will and lived next to Brinkley in Henry Co. I have no info on a Hugh Glisson in NC nor in TN. So your Martha may indeed be a dau of Daniel Glisson of Duplin. And Brinkley could be a son of Daniel also. Actually I think better chance of your Martha, Brinkley, Elizabeth, Hugh children of the many missing Glissons in Duplin Co. I really do not the answer but you put a snag in some of my thinking on these Glissons. I am in the middle of putting the TN Glissons on my webpage. Check out what I got but I will be putting the families on shortly.
Have you been in contact with the desc of Elizabeth Glisson Norman. If not I will get their e-mails for you. Also Brinkley is a Glisson name on other lines of descent in Dennis Glisson family which puts them connected to Daniel Glisson of Duplin Co. Do you have your Martha's family in any census record? I would be happy to add those census records to my page. I welcome any help to put more on this page.
