I do not know where the Glisans from OK are from. I am looking into the Glisans of Oregon. There are 2 families, which appear to be related. Rodney glisan, a doctor, author, and army officer, was born in MD and came to OR in the army before the civil war. He married Elizabeth Couch and had at least 2 sons, both of whom went to Harvard or Yale, one of whom died young. The other is Edwin T. Glisan. He may be the son of Solomon or Thomas Glisan, a cousin ? and brother of Rodney. Both were in NY. Edwin married Armintha Starkey, who crossed the plains on the Oregon Trail in 1850 or so. Their son Robert and dau Bessie moved to Arcadia, CA. Bessie married a Richardson. Robert married a Mabel Jones, prob in OR. Their dau Ruth is living in CA.
