After 20 years, finally wrestled one of the family bibles from a family member. My surname is Smith and not sure why these Gliddens are in my family bible.
Laura J. Glidden was born September 14, 1868
Harry B. Glidden was born July 13, 1871
I beleive both were born in Maine
Only family member of mine born close to that was Lewis D. Smith born in 1878
It appears that Laura married a Brown and is once again in the bible under deaths. Laura J. Brown died april 6, 1934 at the age of 66. There is no further mention of Harry.
Another possibly tie would be the marriage of DeOscar L. Smith And Henrietta Baker. She was born March 28, 1840 and died December 22, 1922.
Could this have been an adoption?
