John Glew's Will, Richmond Co., VA; 1720
I put in a few key words and nothing came up; apparently no one is searching for this family in Virginia.I am no related, but have ancestors who lived in the same area, and are mentioned in the will.I do not have the book #, but it was dated May 16, 1720:
"I, John Glew, being sick and weak in body - To George Taylor, the son of Simon Taylor - 100 acres, which I desire may be my plantation. To my 2 sisters, Mary and Elizabeth Mackguyer - the rest of my land, to be equally divided between them.To John Taylor, the son of Simon Tayler - my horse.Executrix - Simon Taler, Signed - John (his mark) Glew.Witnesses - Thomas Jesper, Charles Jones, Georg (R his mark) Henderson, at Jul 5, 1721 Court, this will was proved by the oaths of the witnesses, and AR."
