Hi Marilyn, Thank you for answering my query. I have been enjoying all of your postings on GenForum. Thank you for graciously sharing all that valuable info. I am not a Glenn descendant but I descend from David Crockett who was a neighbor of John Glenn in Frederick Co., VA. David first appears in 1743 in Frederick Co. and since his oldest children were born in the 1750's I assume he met and married his wife there. We have been trying for years to find his wife's maiden name. Her name was Elizabeth but that is all we know about her. Since James Glenn was named guardian for Jean Crockett in 1779 I feel he is a good candidate to be a relative. David and Elizabeth Crockett were killed by the Indians in 1777. Jean Crockett went into court in 1779 and asked that James Glenn be made her guardian. My co-researcher said Jean would have to be at least 15 to choose her guardian which would have made her too old to be the daughter mentioned in James Glenn's will. I haven't given up hope yet. I still thinks she is a possible person to be the daughter named in Glenn's will. Do you know of any other James Glenn in that area at that time? Notify Administrator about this message?
