Zerline Clements & Gle4nn Clements Glenn314@ivic.net told me: Glenn and Kin-says Nehemiah Glenn died Intestate and no settlement of his estate has been found. Therefore the names of his children are not known. He moved from Hanover Co VA to Goochland Co VA by 1746. He and brother Gideon lived in the area that became Cumberland Co in 1749. He probably lived on the land willed to him by his father. Nehemiah married Anne Coleman dau of Daniel and Patience Elliott Coleman, prior to 29 Aug 1763 when he and Ann were named in Daniel Coleman's will which was recorded in Cumberland Co Will Bk 2 p 4 Nehemiah d intestate prior to 24 Apr 1775 when one William Glenn was granted letters of Administration of the Estate of Nehemiah Glenn with Gideon Glenn and Nathan Glen served as securites. Apparantly William Glenn did not administer the estate. It was appraised 24 Nov 1777 by Thomas Wright, Griffin Wright, and James Glenn Sr. and the Inventory was recorded in Will Bk 2, p 239. The estate was administered by Spillsby Glenn and Bird Bowker. This was during the Revolution, and it is possible that William was in the army and absent form Cumberland Co and unable to serve. Since Nehemiah left no will, and no estate settlement for him has been found, the names of his chldren are not known. One Nehemiah Glenn secured a passport in GA to go through the Creek Indian Territory. Passports issued by Governors of Georgia 1785-1809 p 301 Public Library Aberdeen MS If anyone can straighten out this line, I will appreciate the info...our line seems connected to the Frederick Co VA group of Glenn's which is related to the Wright's. I ams till trying to decide if it connects to this line of Glenn's we are discussing...with the Wright connection also... Marilyn Glenn Szum Notify Administrator about this message?
