I'm trying to find out what happened to Gertrude Glenn (b. 1888, Dawes Co., NE), who married William Henry Gibson (b. 1876, Crawford Co., IA)in Crawford Co., IA in 1909. In 1930 they lived in Des Moines, IA, but I can't find their deaths anywhere (a couple with the same names and near dates is buried in Des Moines, but it isn't them).
Gertrude Glenn was the daughter of George A. Glenn (1845, NY - 1906, NE), who married my great-grandfather's sister, Lydia Ripton (1848, NY - 1913,NE) in Johnstown, Fulton Co., NY. They moved to Iowa with his parents, Jacob & Hannah Landers Glenn of Saratoga Co. NY, around 1880 (another famiy connection was already in Crawford Co., IA by then - Alexander and Frances Glenn Hartley). George and Lydia then moved on to Dawes Co. NE, but they kept contact with the family back in Iowa, and several of their children moved back there to marry. I've seen postings on this site inquiring about Alexander Glenn, who might have been Jacob's father.
If anyone knows anything abut this couple - Gertrude Glenn and William Henry Gibson - I'd really appreciate knowing about it. They had no children, so I can't trace them that way.
