Hi Ian:)
Thanks for your Reply and info:) Much Apppreciated..Yes Ive seen heaps of info on Net and Web Pages Relating to WILLIAM GLENDINNING and ROSEANNE KIRKPATRICK..There seems to be a bit of Contraversy around them, Who Their Children were etc etc..From Data i was sent, It appears that They May Have Changed Their Surname from GLENDINNING to CLENDINNEN when they went from Scotland to CO Down.Ireland..My Mother was a CLENDINNEN, and recall her saying that we were connected to the Glendinnings from Scotland.
But also with the Spelling Diffs can cause some Confusion..Ive seen my Great Grandfathers Name spelt here on a Cert, CLINDINNING and CLENDINNEN..So it doesnt make research any easier with these spelling diffs.
Would Like to Contact Someone who has possibly got the CORRECT *G* if thats possible , of the GLENDINNING /KIRKPATRICK lineage, who their children were etc..I have JAMES GLENDINNING(CLENDINNEN) One of their Sons in my Lineage,Married a Jane REID..Do you know of someone who has researched that lineage?
Im guessing you heard of the book the HOUSE OF GLENDOWYN, By a CLINDENNING From here in South Australia..Apparently he was My Great Grandfathers Cousin..
Yes You are right tho, there is some misinformation out there re the WILLIAM GLENDINNING/ROSEANNE KIRKPATRICK , lineage..Sure would like to Clear it up tho..As The Irish Glendinning Ancestry Really interests me.
Thanks Again for your reply and Info
Take care:)
Regards From South Australia
