I am working on my family background and decided to do some research for a friend of mine. Her family is Gleesing and some apparantly came from Germany. Most of the family ended up in Milwaulkee, Wisconsin and Kalamazoo, Michigan. Her father was Albert Gleesing and mother was Margel Moorehouse Gleesing. Elmer Gleesing was the brother of Albert and Della Moorehouse Gleesing was the sister of Margel. In other words, brothers married sisters. I don't know if there is any connection, but hopefully this will help you out a little. nancy phillips
