I have traced my line to John Gledhill and Sarah Whittaker, but I can not go beyond. Un-tracable sources suggest that a William Gledhill is his Father, but I can find nothing to support this theory. John was born 12 Jul 1772 Barkisland, Yorkshire, England. Sarah was born in 1774 in Sands, Oldham, Lncshr, ENG. Does anyone know about this person?
