Esther Gleave
I am trying to solve a Gleave mystery and would love some help.
In Buckingham MM, Bucks County, Pa., records, 2nd month 7th day 1730, a David Newbourne "requests" a certificate to Providence MM (presumed to be in Chester County, Pa.,) in order to marry Esther GLEAVE.I have not found any record of such a marriage at any monthly meeting for this couple.
There were Gleave/s at Chester and Goshen.Found the following:Goshen - 1728/9, John Gleave, Chester Co., & Elizabeth Eachus, 9-1-1728/9
Chester MM - 9-2-1691, Esther Gleave-Joseph Ware
10-28-1730, Gleave, Esther married out of unity, John Crosier
1706/7 -- John Gleave & Elizabeth Miller, their children:
George, John, ESTHER, b. 10-27-1712
This Esther b. in 1712 would be about the right age to marry David Newbourne in 1730
Does anyone have any information about this couple, did they have children? Is this Esther the same one who married out of unity in the same year to John Crosier??
Any help most appreciated.
