Dear Vincent, My mother, Helen Gleason, was always teased by my father as being Irish but she insisted that she was English. However what I wanted to tell you is that somewhere in my search I have come across an extensive Gleason genalogy. Back in the 14th century the name was spelled Gleeson. Then some fella had a son named Gleason Gleeson. Subsequently his son and all suceding generations took Gleason as their surname. I'm not sure where I Found it but if you don't already have this information I will try to find it again for you. Rutlage.
