The Gleasons and Grangers have ancestory connections from Mass to Illinois to Iowa. Melissa Gleason ,daughter of E P Gleason, Sr and his wife native american, married my G G grandfather Abial Granger in Mass. The Gleason and Granger families traveled together to Canada, Chicago, and on to DeKalb, Ill in 1838. In 1855 they moved on to Iowa after the county organized a Horse Thief Detective Club in 1854. The Gleasons were involved in horse problems in DeKalb county but the Grangers may have been also. Have lots of stories, as their children may have been a problem.
