I have some GLEASON relatives born in VT. They originally came from MA (and before that, Northampton, England). My VT Gleason is Reuben, born 1795 in Jamaica, Windham Co. He is the son of Elisha GLEASON and Tamsin HIGGINS. I'm not sure where Reuben's siblings were born, but I'm pretty sure they were also from VT as his maternal grandparents, Ebenezer HIGGINS and Elizabeth MERRICK died in the same area, so it seems the family had moved there from Eastham, MA and Sudbury, MA. Anyway, Reuben married Olive AUSTIN of VT and then moved on to Knox/Morrow Co., OH; of course, I'm pretty certain most of his family remained behind, so there's a whole GLEASON faction right there. Don't have any immediate info, but I'll keep you in mind! Hope to connect somewhere. Good luck!
