Martin Gleason - Clare to VT, NY and MA

Patrick Gleason m Mary McNamara at Six Mile Bridge County Clare. They had a daughter abt 1815 who married a Hanrahan, John b about 1819, Martin b Oct 1820, Nora b 1821, Thomas b 1829, Margaret b April 1835 and Patrick b 1837.

Martin emegrated about 1841 and began farming in Hinesburg, VT. He married Mary Ann Waters who came to VT via Quebec along with 2 brothers and a sister who died there. She had a husband, Michael Casey who died shortly after that in Hinesburg.

According to his daughter-in-law's journals Martin's brothers went to New York City and Australia and he had cousins in Worcester and Lowell, MA and in Freeport, IL. One is supposedly buried in NY.

One of his sisters who remained in Ireland married a Hanrahan and their daughter married a Conners.
