Check Newaygo County, Hesperia area (village of) and the Volney Cemetery. There are many Gleasons in the Hesperia area (my father's family name) Yes...the story goes that there are two "branches" of Gleasons living in that community and neither will claim kinship to the other. Ironically....both branches appear to have come from Geaugau County, Ohio. I am currently seeking Orlo & Sarah Gleason's ancestors from Geaugau Co.
