Judy, according to the book "Descendants of Thomas Gleason", Jesse Gleason was the son of Jonas Gleason. He married on Jan. 2, 1812, Mary Chase, daughter of David and Judith (Holman) Chase. Jesse and Mary lived on Jonas's farm in Rowe, MA. until 1815. It was said they then went to Vermont and then at some point went to IL. Children were Abel Chase of Guilford, IL., Moses William, Mary Amelis, Jesse Addison, Eliza,Samuel Walter, Juliett of Marengo, IL, Caroline of Guilford, IL, and Ephraim Curtis.
Ephraim was born in Vermont and married a Alice Savine Stetson (who was born in Chautauqua county, NY)in 1859. He died in Chicago and was buried at Rose Hill. Children were Frank Stetson and Harry Curtis.
Samuel Walter Gleason is shown to have been the postmaster in Cherry Valley for several years. Wife's name was Louise.
