My great-grandmother was Albina Georgette Gleason, born 27 July 1872 in Jackson Twp, Steuben Co, IN. She died 4 Sept 1967 in Montpelier, Williams Co, OH. She is buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier. Her parents were Amos and Margaret Bodey Gleason. Porter and Amy Sams Gleason were her grandparents. In the 1880 census for Jackson Twp, Steuben Co, IN, Albina and Amos Gleason are listed in the household of Porter Gleason. I see that Dudley E. Marsh is also there, aged 23.
I'm just beginning to collect information, so I don't have much to share, but would you email the obituary and biography of Porter Gleason?
I see that Branch County, MI is just across the state line from Steuben County, IN. In the 1970's I accompanied my aunt to several cemeteries in IN: Jamestown Cemetery in Jamestown Twp;Flint Cemetery in Jackson Twp(750 West Rt20); and Jackson Prairie S.R. 327(south of Orland) in Jackson Twp, Steuben Co. Most of the gravestones we copied were of Sams, but there are some Gleasons there also.
I always thought that I would copy all my aunt's research, but now she's gone and I do not have access. Meanwhile, now I live in Colorado... Thank you for any and all assistance.
