"ALFRED W. GLEASON - Born Manchester, Conn., March 29, 1855; learned printing on the Hartford Courant, beginning Dec. 2, 1871; initiated into Providence Union Dec. 18, 1892; was for six months foreman of the Meriden Republican; also worked on the Springfield Republican; at present located in Woonsocket."
