GLEASON in Mass. middle 1800's
Posted by: Doris Irene Buckley Haskell Date: March 21, 1998 at 18:35:51
  of 2187

My great grandmother was Mary Gleason. She married Patrick Murphy.
Her father was Matthew Gleason and her mother's maiden name was Ryan.
She came into the US in 1860, according to the 1900 census.
She had a relative, William Gleason who was the mayor of Brockton, Mass.
from 1918 - 1920. He might have been a nephew.
She had 4 boys, John, Matthew, David and Thomas. They all died in their teens of consumption.
She had 1 girl, my grandmother, Emma Pauline Murphy, b. 13 Sep 1873.
They lived in Boston and then in Somerville on Myrtle St. and Mystic St.

Any connections,

Doris Haskell
