"CURRIE - Funeral services were today at 10 a.m. from the Presbyterian Church here for Mrs. Walter O. Gleason, 81, who died Friday at the Windom Hospital. The Rev. Theodore Paul officiated. Burial was in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Springfield.

Mrs. Gleason was born Emma Louise Wendt, daughter of Julius and Willemina Wendt, Nov. 28, 1881 at Springfield. She and Walter O. Gleason were married Nov. 30, 1899.

They farmed at Springfield until 1906, then mvoing to Cappa, S.D. Two years later, they returned to Springfield, remaining there three years, before moving to Storden, Jeffers, and to Oriska, N.D.

In 1920, they moved to Currie, where she made her home until three years ago, then mvoing to Sogge Memorial Home, Windom.

She is survived by six sons, Orren, Arlie and Kenneth, Currie; William, Fulda; Roy G. and Earl F., Rapid City, S.D.; three daughters, Mrs. Willard Galbraith (Mabel), Pensacola, Fla.; Mrs. Richard Hudson (Violet), Windom, and Faye Darlene Gleason, Faribault; 24 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1959, one daughter, two sons and her parents." This obituary was taken from the Worthington Globe 1/22/1963
